Moving

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Thanks to the generosity of the local Waldorf Community, we’ll be setting up classes at our new location: 3070 Ross Lane in Medford. This accomplishment has been years in the making, and we’d like to invite parents and supporters of Madrone Trail to help in completing the task. Donations of time, expertise and resources will assist us in making the school ready for students by September.

We still can use volunteers for:

1) Cleaning (once we get access to the new building)
2) Planting & general beautification (outside – August 2 – 13; inside – August 23 – 27)
3) Moving from McLoughlin (August 16 – 23)
4) Furniture arranging, etc.
5) Back-to-school celebration & BBQ – August 31st (tentative date)

Laura Banry has been providing leadership for this project, so please contact her via email ldbanry@gmail.com or the school office at 541-245-6787 if you are willing to assist.

Staffing Changes

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

We’re putting the final touches on staffing for next year, and should be able to announce teachers & support staff within the next several weeks. The state requires us to provide quite a bit of paperwork on each recommended teacher, so as soon as the registrations & licensing are complete, we’ll be able to publish our teachers for grades 1 & 4, as well as our aides and other support staff.

Renewal Contract:

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Due to much effort and hard work by our board members, our three-year contract with the Medford School District was renewed. Thank you to those who were able to come to the MSD board meetings to share your support of Madrone Trail, It truly does make a difference.

Many of the requirements of the contract will be shared with teachers in our opening staff meeting. A copy of the contract is available for your review at our school office.
